"I was very fortunate to have a mother who lived independently to nearly 101. I realize that she was the exception. Care management helps me give back for the gift of my mother’s good health."
I am a Co-Founder of SCC and Managing Partner. As a Certified Care Manager, I visit clients. In addition, I manage all aspects of the business and oversee care companions who are working in homes or facilities with all of our clients.
I became interested in care management about 10 years ago when my close friends started to have difficult medical situations with parents. They needed help getting information and making informed decisions. In a desire to help, I turned to Anatt, my friend of two decades, who had nearly a decade of experience in elder advocacy and care management. Having been a teacher, I found informing and guiding people very rewarding. At this point in my life, I have a strong desire to make a difference. I enjoy going to sleep knowing that I have helped create a better quality of life for our clients and their families.
I am a licensed insurance broker with 10 years experience in: Casualty, Fire, Long Term Care Insurance, and Medicare benefits. I do not sell insurance. I use my knowledge to help clients understand their policies in the areas of Medicare benefits and supplements, liability of home workers, and long-term care stipulations.
Years ago, I worked as a scheduler and Assistant Geriatric Care Manager for a leading home care company. For 20 years prior, I was Co-Owner and managing partner of an Independent Film Production Company.
